The Bridge offers a range of programs and services for parents and caregivers of young children, ranging from before birth to 6 years of age. The programs are usually held at our Family Centre on Enterprise Way, except Prenatal Wellness which is offered in partnership with the Kelowna Family Y at their facility in Rutland.

 

Tiny To Tot

A weekly education program for parents and caregivers with children aged birth to 36 months. This weekly program provides information on topics of interest and community resources to families navigating their child’s early years and provides a space for parents to connect.

Beyond the Blues

Promotes recovery from postnatal depression and anxiety. Services offered include social support, community referrals and psychoeducation.

Creative Playtime

A drop-in group for children from birth to age 6 and their care providers in Kelowna and Peachland. Provides opportunities for play, connecting with other parents and information on community resources.

 

Parent Talk

Weekly drop-in sessions for parents and caregivers under age 6. Adults meet while the children are supervised in our playroom to talk about parenting, wellness and child development.

Prenatal Wellness

A drop-in program and the Kelowna Family YMCA for expectant women and their partners, this weekly education program covers lifestyle and nutrition tips, fitness classes and exercise guidelines, stress management and connections to community resources.

Special Deliveries

A weekly support group for pre and postnatal (up to 6 months) women that includes a nutritious meal, prenatal vitamins, information on breastfeeding and healthy eating during pregnancy and discussions with a Public Health Nurse.

Healthy Together

A trademarked, national family education program designed and delivered by The Bridge. Healthy Together promotes healthier lifestyle choices and builds healthy relationships with families and communities.
