· Hundreds of children in British Columbia are in need of a foster home
· Many children are in care because they have experienced abuse or neglect
· Caring, supportive adults can help reduce the adverse effects of trauma experienced by a child
· Connections, stability and consistency are some of the key building blocks to change a path
Become a Caregiver
What We Need From You
· Provide a nurturing environment
· Participate as a member of the child’s care team developing and implementing a care plan and sharing in regular communication with the child’s family, social worker and other professionals
· Meet regularly with a support worker
What You Can Expect From Us
· Regular breaks from care giving
· Support from a team of skilled facilitators
· Monthly compensation
