Nov 28, 2022

The Board of Directors of The Bridge Youth & Family Services is pleased to announce the appointment of John Yarschenko as the Society’s newest Executive Director.  John will assume the leadership of the organization from Celine Thompson, who is retiring in November.

The Board of Directors conducted an extensive, national search of qualified individuals and after a rigorous screening process concluded that John was undoubtedly the best candidate to achieve the objectives outlined in their strategic plan.  According to Board President, Patrick Spinks, “John’s subject area expertise, familiarity with the organization, and collaborative and inclusive leadership style will be an asset that will benefit the organization, its staff and all we serve.”

John is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership.  He is a known and respected leader of community-based health and social services in the region, and has served as The Bridge’s Director of Recovery and Addictions Services since 2018.   According to Thompson, “His dedication to our mission and values is beyond question.  I can’t think of a better person to take The Bridge to the next level of exceptional and responsive service to the community.”
