The Bridge Youth & Family Services, in partnership with Interior Health, is opening their second Adult Withdrawal Management and Stabilization Services site at 480 Royal Avenue. This evidence-based service will provide 24-7 nursing care and daily physician support to assist individuals who require medical support withdrawing from substances.
This twelve-bed, purpose-built facility is a significant expansion to the continuum of care available to adults in the region. Its close proximity to Kelowna General Hospital will promote collaboration with health care providers, streamline access to services and improve the connection and continuity of care participants will experience.
The addition of this new Bridge Withdrawal Management facility will increase access to a high-demand service and ensure participants receive support in a care environment best suited for their needs. The program is anticipated to open in January 2023 and services will be delivered in an illicit substance free environment that is open 365 days a year.
This Bridge facility will provide a superior treatment environment for all who need the service and will be available to individuals throughout the Okanagan Valley. There is no cost to access the service and self-referrals are accepted.
