The Outreach Services Team have four permanent staff, including a team lead, and six casual employees. The shifts range from 10-12 hours in length and service is provided seven days of the weekThe Team makes an average of 400 contacts with street-entrenched individuals each month. 
 
Outreach Services has continued to expand home delivery servicesThe monthly average of harm reduction home deliveries is 20. One month in the last calendar year surpassed 35 completed home deliveries!  
 
Outreach has also shifted their presence at the Highway 33 property; moving into a mobile office in the front of the building. This change occurred to cultivate interactions withmindividuals accessing the harm reduction vending machine and to prioritize quality of care and community safety. 
 
The team was honoured to present at the sixth annual British Columbia Centre on Substance Use Conference. The focus of the presentation was providing an overview of The Bridge’s journey to establish and maintain the harm reduction vending machine service.  
 
The team is excited to move forward with a recently secured two-year grant for new role at Outreach Services. The "Transitional Program Facilitator" will support clients who have interest in The Bridge's continuum of substance use services as well as need connection to safe, stable housing.
