Bridgeway Ethel
May 14, 2024

Since its launch in the autumn of 2022, Bridgeway Ethel has been a vital refuge for women seeking recovery. With 84 female-identifying participants having embarked on their journey through our program, we've witnessed profound transformations.

Alcohol stands out as the primary substance of concern for nearly half of our participants since our inception, closely followed by crack/cocaine.

Our comprehensive program spans 42 days, accommodating participants in 7 treatment beds for the six-week duration. Additionally, we offer 2 transition beds, extending support for approximately three more weeks as women work towards their next steps and housing goals.

Our program is carefully designed to incorporate Group Therapy, Workshops, Guest Speakers, and Outings, all geared towards equipping participants with crucial relapse prevention skills.

Supported by a team of 12 full-time staff, 1 part-time staff, and several dedicated casuals, we provide a nurturing environment for healing and growth.

As we eagerly anticipate the summer ahead, we're excited to enhance our surroundings. Plans include expanding our garden, creating a serene memorial space, and embracing the natural beauty of nearby creeks and beaches. Bridgeway Ethel remains committed to fostering holistic recovery journeys for all who seek solace within our walls.
