Meet Luke Brimmage: Leading with Heart and Community

The Bridge Youth & Family Services is excited to welcome Luke Brimmage (he/him) as our new Executive Director, who joined the team on August 23, 2025. Though he’s only been with us for a few short weeks, Luke has already immersed himself in our programs, teams, and participants—and he’s found moments of connection that reaffirm his passion for this work.

Finding Belonging Through Connection

In just four weeks, Luke has experienced firsthand the deep impact of The Bridge’s programs and the people behind them. One encounter that stands out for him was meeting a 17-year-old youth involved in both our Etcetera and Path programs.

“We spent over an hour together with the youth’s support teams,” Luke shared. “It was profound to see what Path, Etcetera, and The Bridge have given this youth—and what this youth continues to give to everyone they connect with. They are truly an inspiration.”

Another pivotal moment came during a visit to Bridgeway Gray Road, where Luke joined a cohort of men and the team for open, heartfelt conversations.

“Their willingness to allow me into their space and share their thoughts demonstrated the amazing work our teams do every day and the effect each and every one of you has on the participants we serve.”

These early experiences, Luke says, confirmed that The Bridge is where he belongs and solidified his passion for grassroots community service.

“These moments provided clarity as to my passion for serving some of the most vulnerable people in our community and why The Bridge is so important to me.”

Living the Mission

Luke’s career has long been centered on strengthening communities through collaboration and networking—making The Bridge’s mission of transforming lives and building community a natural fit.

“The Bridge’s mission instantly connected with me,” he explained. “For the majority of my career, I have been searching for ways to build our community’s services to really impact and transform people’s lives.”

Beyond the Office

Outside of his work, Luke’s life is grounded in family and the outdoors. He and his wife Chantelle have been married for 29 years and are proud parents to two sons: Zach (23), who is pursuing a degree in Zoology, and Caleb (20), who is following a career in the creative arts. The Brimmage family also includes Bandit, their spirited 14-year-old Border Collie who still swims and chases deer like a dog half his age.

Family is everything to Luke. Whether he’s spending time on the West Coast of Vancouver Island fishing from his boat or enjoying outdoor adventures closer to home, he embraces every opportunity to connect with nature and community.

“We do everything we can to live, breathe, and participate in the outdoors and the community,” he says.

Please join us in welcoming Luke to The Bridge family. His warmth, dedication, and passion for community service are already making a difference—and we can’t wait to see the impact he’ll lead in the months and years ahead.
