Bridgeway Gray Road welcomed its first participants in September 2013. Since that time, we have hosted 88 cohorts of common-gendered adults; that's over 1700 participants since we first opened our doors. We follow a structured, participant-centered program lasting six weeks and provided in a safe, substance-free, live-in environment for individuals who have identified alcohol or substance misuse as an impediment to their daily lives.
We are pleased to report that 67% of participants successfully complete our program to the end. It is worth noting that 14% of participants choose to leave our program early for a variety of reasons.
Alcohol remains the most common substance of choice for those who access our services at 43%. Methamphetamines follow next at 14% with crack/cocaine use following at 13%. Interestingly, only 9% of participants identify fentanyl as their primary substance of choice.
Our deeply dedicated team is led by Program Manager, Brooklyn Kent. While she is new to this position, Brooklyn first became part of the Bridgeway Gray roster in 2016 when she completed her practicum placement here. Subsequently, Brooklyn worked in various roles including: Withdrawal Management Worker, Recovery Care Worker and Program Facilitator.
The team is supported by Debbie (Administrative Residence Coordinator), and our two Clinicians, Melissa and Alex. Rounding out the day staff are our four regular Program Facilitators (Zane, James, Jannine and Alex). Working ever so quietly and diligently overnight are our incredible RCWs (Amanda, Prescott, Charles, Sierra, and Jesse) PLUS a plethora of casual staff who are always willing to support wherever they can!
In addition to our staff, we have a variety of volunteers who enhance our programming by facilitating activities like grounding exercises, art night and yoga, providing gift boxes, and introducing peer support programs such as SMART Recovery, AA, and meditation. We are endlessly appreciative of these individuals who consistently show up and donate their time to support our participants.
Freshening Up for the Spring!
Our facility just underwent a series of external renovations! A big thank you to BRAAX Services for the paint refresh and Fox Developments for the wonderful new fence. We are enjoying our updated look as well as the increased privacy!
